John Alexander KEEGAN was born about 1855. He married Sarah Anne FITZWILLIAM on 27 April 1880.2 He married Annie Isobella COOTE on 12 July 1897 in St. Mary’s Church, MohillG.1 He died on 11 September 1931, at age ~76, in CarrickmacrossG.
John Alexander Keegan was a Head Constable in the Royal Irish Constabulary. He enlisted on 6 May 1872, and served in Wicklow, Cork E.R., Down, Leitrim and Kilkenny. He was promoted to Acting Constable on 1 May 1880, Constable on 2 Dec 1880 and Head Constable on 1 Mar 1895. He was pensioned on 16 Mar 1906. He was enumerated in the 1901 census at Piltown, Kilkenny, and in the 1911 census at Newtown, Ballintemple, Co. Carlow in which he was described as an Estate Clerk.2,3

John Henry Pattison was the son of William Pattison. He was living at Killone at the time of his marriage in 1899 and was described as a farmer. He was enumerated at Killone in the 1901 census (as Patterson), together with his wife Elizabeth, son John William (aged 5 months), uncle John (aged 93) and 3 servants. He was recorded in the 1911 census, again at Killone, with his wife Elizabeth and sons John William (aged 10) and Charles Henry (aged 6).2
