Biography

John TUNBRIDGE was born about 1805. He was baptised on 17 February 1805 in St. Mark's, DublinG. He married Jane Ann JACKSON in 1827 in WaterfordG. He married Sydney Mary Elizabeth CARTER on 29 January 1867 in St. John's, NewfoundlandG. He died on 3 March 1892, at age ~87, in 6 Fortfield Terrace, RathminesG.
In 1846 he was First Clerk in the Naval and Victualling Yard on Haulbowline Island, Co. Cork.

In 1865 he was Assistant Superintendent of Stores, and Acting Barrack Master living opposite Fort William in St. John's, Newfoundland.

His death was announced in the 05 March 1892 edition of the Cork Constitution, transcribed as follows:
"TUNBRIDGE-March 3rd, at 6 Fortfield, Rathmines, Dublin, Colonel John Tunbridge, late H M Ordnance Staff, aged 87 years."

Biography

Thomas TUNBRIDGE was born about 1820. He was baptised on 7 July 1820 in St. George's, DublinG. He died on 16 January 1846, at age ~26, in Haulbowline Island, Co. CorkG.
His death was reported in the 20 January 1846 of the Southern Reporter and Cork Commercial Courier, as follows:
"On the l6th inst., at Haulbowline Island, at the residence of his brother, John Tunbridge, Esg, her Majesty's Ordnance, Mr. Thomas Tunbridge, aged 24 years, fifth son of the late Martin Tunbridge, Esq., of Dublin."
