Arthur ROGERS was born on 10 April 1815 in Ludlow, Shropshire.1 He died on 4 December 1838, at age 23, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Rogers Family Bible notes that Edward Rogers died in 1812. However, newspapers of the time reported that Edward ,only son of Edward of Stanage Park died in 1838. The entry for Arthur Rogers in the family bible has no date of death, so we assume that Arthur came known as Edward.
His death was announced in the 19 December 1838 edition of the Hereford Journal, transcribed as follows:
"On the 4th inst. died, at Geneva, much lamented by his family, Edward, only son of Edward Rogers, Esq. of Stanage Park, Radnorshire."
