George and James Wilkinson took over the tenancy of the farm at Crannagh from their mother Eliza in 1918, and purchased it in 1919 under the Land Act.³

Samuel Wilkinson was the second son of Edward Wilkinson of Crannagh. He was living at The Oak, Mountmellick at the time of his marriage in 1903. The house was associated with the holding of 92 acres and house at Omoresforest, marked as Plot #45 in the Cancelled Land Books of the Valuation Office; these show the tenancy changing from Thomas Meredith to Samuel Meredith in 1877, to Samuel Wilkinson in 1914, and then to Michael Corcoran in 1957. (Thomas Meredith was the grandfather and Samuel Meredith the uncle of Esther Elizabeth Meredith, Samuel Wilkinson’s wife). His last address was 16 Glenomena Grove, Stillorgan Road, Co. Dublin.^3,2,4

     Olive Margaret BLUETT was born on 30 January 1912 in Vancouver British Columbia Canada. She married Robert Sylvester WINTERS, son of Andrew Philip WINTERS and Jane (”Jeanie”) REDMOND, on 14 April 1936 in Calgary Alberta Canada. She died on 29 May 1972 in Calgary Alberta Canada at age 60.
