John Galbraith was enumerated in the 1901 and 1911 censuses at Colt and is believed to be the son of Andrew Going Galbraith and Susanna Wilkinson.

     Edna Elsie REES was born circa 1901 in Brimpaen, Victoria, Australia.² She married William Henry Meredith MATHERS, son of Joseph MATHERS and Rebecca MEREDITH, on 26 September 1922 in Horsham Presbyterian Church, Victoria, Australia; witnesses Dorothy Agnes Rees and Arthur Leslie Rees.¹ She died on 18 September 1977 in East Melbourne.² She was buried on 21 September 1977 in Fawkner Memorial Park, Victoria, Australia.²
     
Edna Elsie Rees was the daughter of Matthew Rees, a farmer, and his wife Elizabeth Rigby.¹

     Kenneth Gordon MITCHELL was born on 23 November 1921 in 14 Station St., Moreland, Victoria, Australia.¹ He died on 27 December 1988 at age 67.² His body was cremated on 30 December 1988 in Fawkner Memorial Park, Victoria, Australia.²

     Francis William GOWAN was born circa 1860. He married Susan STRONG, daughter of James STRONG and Elizabeth WILKINSON, on 21 November 1895 in Rosenallis Church, Co. Laois, Ireland; witnesses John Strong and Charles Gowan.¹
     
Francis William Gowan was the son of Frank Gowan, a farmer, and his wife Elizabeth. He was living at Killeagh at the time of his marriage in 1895. He was enumerated in the 1901 census, together with his wife and children, in the household of his mother Elizabeth at Killeenmore, Cappancur, King’s Co.^1,2

     Susan Caroline GOWAN was born in 1901 in King’s Co., Ireland.²

It is assumed that Michael Modler is the son of Michael Modler and Dorothea Miller although there is no direct evidence for this.

     William Arthur McKEE was born circa 1838. He married Mary Ann TUNBRIDGE, daughter of Peter TUNBRIDGE and Jane O’HARA, on 30 July 1874 in Westport Church of Ireland, Co. Mayo, Ireland; witnesses Courtney Tunbridge and Eliza Tunbridge.¹ He died in 1891 in Ballinrobe Registration District.²
     
William Arthur McKee was described as a Warder living in Ballinrobe on his marriage certificate of 1874. He is assumed to be the sister of Eliza McKee on the grounds that Frances Barrer is enumerated in the 1901 census in the household of his widow, Mary Ann McKee, and described as a niece.^1,3

     Mary Ann TUNBRIDGE was born circa 1839 in Co. Mayo or Canada. She married William Arthur McKEE, son of William McKEE and Martha TUNBRIDGE, on 30 July 1874 in Westport Church of Ireland, Co. Mayo, Ireland; witnesses Courtney Tunbridge and Eliza Tunbridge.¹ She died in 1913 in Ballinrobe Registration District.²
     
According to her marriage certificate, Mary Ann Tunbridge was the daughter of Peter Tunbridge, who was described as a Pensioner deceased. She was living in Ballinrobe in 1874.
There is some ambiguity over the details of Mary Anne Tunbridge’s date and place of birth. The 1901 census gave these as ca.1851 in Co. Mayo. However, the 1911 census gave ca. 1839 in Canada instead. Consistent with the latter details, there is the following enquiry in the Weekly Irish Times of 12 Feb 1910:
“Tunbridge-O’Hara. Relatives of Jane O’Hara, daughter of John O’Hara (Sergeant Canadian Rifles, formerly in 66th Regiment, who married Peter Tunbridge (Corporal, also in Canadian Rifles, and formerly of 66th Regiment) on January 5, 1840, at La Prairie, Montreal. Inquirer, daughter, Mary Ann McKee, Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo.” These details match the written records of the marriage from St. Luke’s Anglican Church, La Prairie.
She is assumed to be a relation of Courtney Tunbridge and Martin Tunbridge who were witnesses to the marriage of Robert French and Eliza McKee.³

     Martin Thomas McKEE was born on 24 January 1875 in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland.¹ He married Mary Jane ARMSTRONG in 1902.¹

     Martha TUNBRIDGE was born circa 1808.² She married William McKEE on 26 October 1835 in Ballinrobe Church of Ireland, Co. Mayo, Ireland; witnesses Alexander Giller and Courtney Tunbridge.¹ She died on 17 July 1891 in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland.³
     
Martha McKee nee Tunbridge is assumed to be the Martha McGee who is reported to have lodged a claim for £1000 with the grand jury of Co. Mayo in respect of the murder of Martin Tunbridge. She is assumed to be his sister, and the daughter of Courtney and Elizabeth Tunbridge, although no baptismal record has come to light. Her son William McKee of Ballinrobe was the informant of her death in 1891.⁴

     Courtney TUNBRIDGE was born circa 1766. He married Elizabeth (-). He died on 13 February 1840 in Ballinrobe, Co. Mayo, Ireland.¹
     
Courtney Tunbridge and Elizabeth were named as the parents of John, Courtney, and Martin Thomas Tunbridge on their baptismal records. He is assumed to be the Courtney Tunbridge who died on 13 Feb 1840 aged 74 and was buried at Ballinrobe. He was described as a Sexton on the marriage certificate of his son Courtney.
Note: a John Tunbridge and a Benjamin Tunbridge are listed in a document dated 1716 as signatories to a petition for the fortification of Ballinrobe.^2,3,4

Mayo, Ireland.¹ He was buried in Ballinrobe Church of Ireland, Co. Mayo, Ireland.¹
     
Courtney Tunbridge was living in Ballinrobe in 1855, and was a Parish Clerk.²

     Jane GILL married Courtney TUNBRIDGE, son of Courtney TUNBRIDGE and Elizabeth (-), on 22 November 1855 in Ballinrobe Parish Church, Co. Mayo, Ireland; witnesses Martin Tunbridge and John Gill.²
