Beattie and [illegible].² She died on 5 July 1986.³ Her body was cremated on 8 July 1986 in Fawkner Memorial Park, Victoria, Australia.

     William Henry Meredith MATHERS was born circa 1899 in Cape Colony, South Africa.¹ He married Edna Elsie REES on 26 September 1922 in Horsham Presbyterian Church, Victoria, Australia; witnesses Dorothy Agnes Rees and Arthur Leslie Rees.² He died on 14 November 1987.³ He was buried on 17 November 1987 in Fawkner Memorial Park, Victoria, Australia.³

     Eric Walter THORNTON was born circa 1904 in Victoria, Australia.¹ He married Eileen Annie MATHERS, daughter of Joseph MATHERS and Rebecca MEREDITH, on 20 April 1929 in Coburg Presbyterian Church, Victoria, Australia; witnesses C. Beattie and [illegible].¹ He died in March 1971. His body was cremated on 10 March 1971 in Fawkner Memorial Park, Victoria, Australia.²
     
Eric Walter Thornton was the son of William Charles Thornton. He was described as a Tent Maker on his marriage certificate.¹

He married Violet Maud Elizabeth MATHERS, daughter of Joseph MATHERS and Rebecca MEREDITH, on 12 January 1921 in Presbyterian Church, Albion Street, Brunswick, Victoria, Australia; witnesses Peter Graham Dow and Caroline Smith.¹ He died in April 1951.² His body was cremated on 27 April 1951 in Fawkner Memorial Park, Victoria, Australia.²
     
Hugh Carnegie Mitchell was the son of William Geddes Mitchell, an Estate Agent, and his wife Minnie Pattison. He was living at 1 Blair Street, Coburg and described as a Clerk on his marriage certificate.¹

     Thomas Sims DAVIES married Anne MEREDITH, daughter of Thomas MEREDITH and Rebecca STRONG.

     Mary Mifanwy DAVIES was born in 1909. She died circa 1945.

     Kathleen Helen DAVIES was born in 1911. She died circa 1945.

     Agnes Griffith MEEK was born in 1881. She married William Henry MEREDITH, son of Thomas MEREDITH and Rebecca STRONG, on 29 October 1913 in Athy, Co. Kildare, Ireland. She died on 12 July 1962 in Ireland.¹

     William Henry (Harry) MEREDITH was born on 29 May 1916.¹ He married Edith Margaret (Peg) TOWNSEND in 1944.² He died on 5 November 1994 in Middleton House Nursing Home, Courtown, at age 78.^1,3 He was buried on 7 November 1994 in Glenealy cemetery.³

     Eva Isobel MEREDITH was born in 1917. She died on 10 November 2000 in Ireland.¹
     
She lived at Rathmoyne House, Dunmurry.

     George MEREDITH was born on 16 January 1921.¹ He married Doris Martha Susan SHEANE on 20 October 1948 in Dunganstown Parish Church.² He died on 15 February 1981 in Malta at age 60.³ He was buried in Glenealy cemetery.³
     
George was the younger son. His death in 1981 was announced in the Irish Times:
'MEREDITH (Stillorgan, Co. Dublin) — February 15, 1981 (on holiday in Malta), George, beloved husband of the late Doris Meredith, 41 Priory Grove, Stillorgan; deeply regretted by his loving sons, Geoff and Edwin, brother, sister, daughters-in-law, relatives and friends. Removal on Monday next at 12.30 o'c. from Dublin Airport, to arrive at Glenealy Parish Church, Co. Wicklow for 2.30 o'c. Service. Funeral immediately afterwards to adjoining cemetery. 'At rest.^2,3' '

     Edith Margaret (Peg) TOWNSEND was born on 30 December 1919.¹ She married William Henry (Harry) MEREDITH, son of William Henry MEREDITH and Agnes Griffith MEEK, in 1944.² She died on 9 November 1986 at age 66.¹

     William Henry MEREDITH was born in 1945. He died on 18 September 1948.¹
     
William Henry Meredith died in a tragic accident, aged 3. This was reported in the Irish Independent under the headline “Tragedy Ended Friendship” as follows:
“THE story of a mutual attachment between a man and a child, which ended in the death of the child, was told at an inquest held in the City Morgue, Dublin, before Dr. MacErlean, City Coroner, on William Meredith, aged 3, of Ballymote, Glenealy, Ashtord, who died in St. Laurence's Hospital, on September 18. Laurence Doolan, Glenealy, said he was harvesting corn with a trac- lor and trailer on the farm of Henry Meredith, father of deceased. There was a strong attachment between himself and the child, who accompanied him at every opportunity. On this occasion William was sitting on the tool-box of the tractor which witness was driving. It gathered speed on a steep incline, and when it failed to respond to the brakes he swerved to the left. The tractor began to heel over and, grabbing the child, witness jumped. As he did so, the trailer struck him on the heart and back. After he had fallen, he saw the child lying on its face some feet from him. He picked it up and started to run uphill, but collapsed. He was unconscious for 24 hours and spent six weeks in hospital. The Coroner returned a verdict of accidental death and exonerated the driver.”.

     Doris Martha Susan SHEANE was born on 4 June 1924.¹ She married George MEREDITH, son of William Henry MEREDITH and Agnes Griffith MEEK, on 20 October 1948 in Dunganstown Parish Church.² She died on 7 August 1972 in Ely Nursing Home, Wexford, at age 48.³ She was buried on 9 August 1972 in Glenealy cemetery.
     
Doris was the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Sheane, Ballycapple, Redcross, Wicklow. The death of Doris Meredith nee Sheane was reported in the Irish Times: “MEREDITH (Co. Dublin) - August 7, 1972 (suddenly), at Ely Nursing Homes, Wexford, Doris, beloved wife of George Meredith, 41 Priory Grove, Stillorgan; deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, sons, relatives and friends. Service today (Wednesday) at 3 o’c. in Glenealy Parish Church. Interment immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.”.^2,3

     Geoffrey G. MEREDITH was born circa 1951 in Dublin North Registration District.¹ He died on 21 August 1992 in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Elm Park.^2,3
