     Fanny MEREDITH was born circa 1853 in Queen’s County, Ireland. She married William WILKINSON, son of John WILKINSON and Anne LUTTRELL, on 13 February 1883 in Roskelton Church, Queen’s County; witnesses Samuel Wilkinson and Rice Meredith.¹
     
Fanny Meredith was the daughter of Rice Meredith and Catherine Anne Meredith. She was living at Derrykearn in 1883 at the time of her marriage. She was recorded in the 1911 census as the head of household at Colt, Queen’s Co., and was described as Fanny Wilkinson, methodist, age 58, widow, married 28 years with one child, born Queen’s County. Patrick Mahony, farm servant was enumerated in the same household.²

     William WILKINSON was born on 28 March 1884 in Colt, Queen’s County, Ireland.¹ He died in 1910 in Abbeyleix Registration District, Ireland.²

     Charles STEWART was born on 3 December 1860 in Lanark, Ontario.^2,3 He married Susan BISHOP, daughter of Ambrose BISHOP and Anne BISHOP, on 4 February 1890 in Alvinston, Ontario; witnesses Nellie and Bertha Fisher.¹
     
Charles Stewart was a farmer. He was the son of George and Clarissa Stewart. He was living at Brooke, Ontario at the time of his marriage in 1890, and also in 1901.

     Mabel ROOT was born circa 1876 in Newbury, Ontario. She married Alexander BISHOP, son of Ambrose BISHOP and Anne BISHOP, on 19 December 1895 in Weidmann, Ontario; witnesses John Bishop and Lena Elliott.¹

     Carrie May BISHOP was born on 12 September 1896.¹ She died on 9 November 1918 in St. Thomas, Ontario, at age 22; cause of death: pneumonia.²

     Gladys BISHOP was born on 8 July 1899.¹

     George Washington REID was born on 17 August 1872 in Coldwater Road, Orillia, Sincoe, Ontario.¹ He married Mary Loretta BISHOP, daughter of Ambrose BISHOP and Margaret CURTIN. He died on 29 October 1900 in Bergen, New York, at age 28.¹

     George Ambrose REID was born on 22 February 1898 in Buffalo, New York County.¹ He died on 1 April 1971 in Saginaw, Michigan, at age 73.¹

     Nina ELLIOTT was born in 1877. She married John BISHOP, son of Ambrose BISHOP and Margaret CURTIN. She died on 2 January 1973 in Petrolia, Lambton, Ontario.¹

     Frances MODLER was born circa 1887 in Rathkeale, Co. Limerick, Ireland. She married Eleazer THOMAS on 11 October 1912 in St. Mathew Presbyteriam, Pointe- St-Charles, Montreal; witnesses William Smith and Annie Smith.²
     
Frances Modler was recorded as having sailed on the S.S. Carmania from Queenstown on 31 Dec 1905, arriving in New York on the 8th Jan 1906. She sailed from New York to Liverpool on the S.S. Celtic arriving 13 Jun 1909, and returned to New York later that year on the S.S. Adriatic, arriving on 7 Oct 1909. The latter destination in New York was given as Mr G Dixon, a friend, of 312 West 99 St. She was living in Montreal at the time of her marriage in 1912.^3,4,5

     Frances WATSON was born circa 1902 in Co. Cork.² She married Edward John MODLER, son of John MODLER and Anne BARRER, on 5 June 1918 in Kilbolane Church of Ireland, Co. Cork; witnesses Lizzie Anne Modler and William Watson.³ She died on 15 May 1983 in Limerick Regional Hospital.⁴ She was buried on 18 May 1983 in Rathkeale Holy Trinity Church cemetery.⁴
     
Frances Watson was recorded in the 1911 census in her father’s household at Monarnane, Milford, and described as Fanny Watson, daughter, Church of Ireland, aged 9, born in Co. Cork. She was a minor living at Monarnane, Milford at the time of her marriage in 1918.^2,3

     John Edward ‘Jack’ MODLER was born in 1919 in Rathkeale Registration District.² He died on 10 September 1944.¹ He was buried in Brussels Town Cemetery.¹
     
John Edward Modler was a Lance Corporal in the 2nd Batallion, Irish Guards. He died from wounds received in action in WW2.

The photo of Jack Modler was contained in an album of a fellow guardsman, Arthur Tabs Mahoney, of No. 1 Squadron. Although it is annotated with “Killed in Action in August 1944”, the CWGC Roll of Honour records his death as occurring on 10th September 1944 and he is noted in the Official Army List published in The Times as having Died of Wounds. It is not known when he received these wounds but it is quite possible that it was in August. The stripe on his left lower sleeve denotes 2 years Good Conduct. L/Cpl John Edward Modler is listed pre-embarkation in the Troop Leader Lieutenant Isitt’s tank as Gunner/Mechanic.  His fellow crewmen were Lance-Sergeant H. Raistrick, Guardsman W. Kingsley and Guardsman F. Roe.^1,3,4

     Ellen (-) was born circa 1841.¹ She married John SMITH, son of Thomas SMITH and Frances BARRER. She died on 27 September 1904.¹ She was buried in Landsborough Cemetery, Victoria, Australia.¹
