Jacob Shumacher worked first as the manager of a drapery shop in Tubbercurry, Sligo, and then in 1908 he joined the London Metropolitan Police. He left the force in 1919, and subsequently took over a farm in Montiagh, Co. Sligo from 1922; in his later years was a caretaker in Dublin.¹

Tipperary, Ireland.¹ He died circa 1946 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.¹
     
John Irvine Naughton was the son of Thomas Naughton, a farmer. He emigrated to Canada in 1910 with his wife Dora and brother Charles Naughton. The family was enumerated in the 1911 census in Saskatoon, and in the 1916 census they were at 424, 11th Street, Saskatoon. They moved to California in 1919, and they are recorded as returning to Canada on 18 Mar 1828 on the Pacific Highway.^3,4
