     Elizabeth PHILLIPS was born circa 1856 in Belfast, Co. Antrim.1,2 She married Robert DRIMMIE in 1882 in Dublin North Registration District.3 She married George Frederick MEREDITH, son of Thomas MEREDITH and Rebecca STRONG, on 22 June 1908 in St. James’s Church, Castledermot Parish, Co. Kildare; witnesses William Meredith an Barbara Millicent Drimmie.4 She died on 28 March 1939 in 52 Duke Street, Athy, Co. Kildare.5
     
Elizabeth Phillips was the daughter of William Henry Phillips, a Gentleman. She was living at Ballinamoney, Castledermot at the time of her second marriage in 1908.4

     Robert DRIMMIE was born on 16 July 1856 in Co. Kildare.1,2 He married Elizabeth PHILLIPS in 1882 in Dublin North Registration District.3 He died on 16 July 1905 in Killeen, Birr, at age 49.1
     
Robert Drimmie was the son of John Drimmie and Elizabeth Jamie, who emigrated from Laurencekirk, Scotland, to Ireland sometime between 1850 and 1860. He was enumerated in the 1901 census as the head of household at Killeen, Riverstown, and described as Robert Drimmie, aged 44, a Farm Steward, born in Co. Kildare. Enumerated in the same household were his wife Elizabeth (aged 44), sons Robert (18), Henry (14) and Martin (10), and daughters Eleanor (16) and Millicent (7).4,2

     Charles Henry SPENCER was born on 28 November 1854 in Dover Plains, New York State, USA.2 He married Almira MACKEY in June 1883 in Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery.3 He died on 22 December 1940 in Vassar hospital, Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York State, USA, at age 86. He was buried on 26 December 1940 in Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery.
     
The 50th wedding anniversary was reported in the Poughkeepsie Eagle-News:
“Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Spencer of 47 Fallkill avenue celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last week, and were guests of honor Thursday night at a family supper given by their daughter Mrs. Katherine Anspach at 54[?] Catharine street. The couple were married in 1883 by the Rev. Ziegenfuss, rector of Christ church, and have always lived in Poughkeepsie, making their home at the Fallkill avenue address for the last 43 years. They have eight children, 43 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Mr. Spencer, who was formerly a mason, was the armorer at the Riverview Military academy for many years. He is the son of Charles H. and Delia Waller Spencer. Mrs. Spencer is the former Elmira Mackey of Highland, daughter of Anthony and Elizabeth Calhoun Mackey. Children of the couple are: Mrs. Lillian Frazier, Mrs. K.E. Anspach, Mrs. Elmira Beneway, Mrs. Henrietta Schaeffer, all of this city, Mrs. Edith Ciancanelli of Beacon, and Mrs. Ruth Sackett of Stanfordville.”

The obituary of Charles Henry Spencer appeared in the Poughkeepsie Eagle-News:
“Funeral services for Charles Henry Spencer, 86, 34 Fallkill avenue, who was a retired mason and who worked as a mason on the first building erected at Vassar hospital, will be conducted from 20 Smith street at 2:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon. The Rev. Fred W. Stacey, superintendent of the Poughkeepsie district of the Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Poughkeepsie Rural cemetery under direction of the McCornac Funeral service. Mr. Spencer died at 8:30 o’clock Sunday might in Vassar hospital. He had been a patient a little more than a week, with a heart ailment. Born in Dover Plains, Nov. 28, 1854, Mr. Spencer was the son of Charles Henry and Delia Ann Wallen Spencer. He attended schools in Dover Plains and in this city, coming here to reside 70 years ago. He had been retired 16 years. Mr. Spencer is survived by his wife, Mrs. Almira Mackey Spencer; a son, Charles Henry Spencer, Jr., this city; seven daughters, Mrs. Joseph Frazer, this city, Mrs. James Ciancanelli, Beacon, Mrs. Katherine Anspach, Red Hook, Mrs. Raymond Beneway, this city, Mrs William Schaffer, Sr., this city, Mrs. Frank Amato, Washington Hollow, and Mrs. Benjamin Sackett, this city; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.”.3,1
