He appeared on the census of April 1911 in the household of Jane Waddell in 44 Haddington Road, Dublin, Ireland, in which he was described as George Henry Winters, son, Church of Ireland, able to read & write, aged 12, male, scholar, born in Dublin.
He was employed by Messrs. Stokes, Brothers and Pim, chartered accountants, College Green, Dublin. He was a Lance-Corporal in the Royal Dublin Fusiliers during WW1, and while attached to the Royal Irish regiment he was severely wounded in action on 2 September 1918. He was a clerk in the Ministry of Pensions living at 44 Haddington Road, Dublin at the time of his marriage in 1921. After moving to England he worked as an Executive Officer at the Board of Trade.1,5,6,3,7

Limerick, Ireland.1 He was buried on 4 April 1822 in Loughboy, Rathkeale, Co. Limerick, Ireland.1
