William ASTON was born before 1730. He and Sarah were married.
Apart from his name in the baptismal records of his children, nothing else is known about him. A William Aston, a Currier of Birmingham, died intestate in 1762 and administration was granted to his widow Sarah on 6 Oct 1762. The inventory included the contents of a shop and brewhouse.

Note: a William Aston of Princip Street in Birmingham was a successful Button Manufacturer in the 19th C, but it is not known if there is any relationship with the descendants of this William and his wife Sarah.1

William BRATT was born about 1736. He and Catherine (Kitty) ASTON were married on 25 June 1766 in St Martin, Birmingham.1 He died in 1814, at age ~78, in Grove House, Handsworth.2
William Bratt lived at Grove House, Grove Lane, Handsworth, having built the house in 1780. He was a Gilt and Plated button maker with premises in St. Paul’s Square, Birmingham.
In 1887 the house and grounds at Handsworth were acquired by the Urban District Council, which opened them as Victoria (later Handsworth) Park. The house was then known as Park House and used as refreshment rooms; it was demolished in 1968.3,4
