Rev. Joshua Greaves was the son of Rev. Richard Greaves, Rector of Tooting, Surrey. He was the Curate of St. George’s, Birmingham at the time of his marriage in 1845.³

She was christened on 19 March 1772 at Kington, Herefordshire.² She married Richard URWICK, son of Richard URWICK and Sarah (?), on 15 December 1796 at Old Radnor Church; [note: the marriage date could be 22 Dec 1796, depending on the interpretation of “Thursday se’nnight” written in the marriage announcement on a Wednesday].³ Elizabeth MEREDITH died on 9 October 1861 at Presteign, Radnorshire.⁴
     
Elizabeth was named as a niece in the wills of both Thomas Stephens of Kinnerton dated 1810 and Ann Rogers of Kington dated 1816.^5,1

     Richard MEREDITH was born ca. 1774. He was christened on 10 June 1774 at Kington, Herefordshire.² He married Anne PRICE ca. 1806 at Kington, Herefordshire.² Richard MEREDITH died on 7 March 1850 at Apostles, near Kington.³
     
Richard Meredith was named as a nephew of Thomas Stephens of Kinnerton in the latter’s will dated 1810. He was enumerated in the 1841 census at Apostles Farm, near Kington, with his wife Ann and sons Richard, David and John.^1,4

     James BEEBEE was born on 1 January 1755 at Leominster.² He married Hannah MEREDITH, daughter of Meyrick MEREDITH and Hannah STEPHENS, on 30 October 1794 at Old Radnor Church.^3,4 James BEEBEE died on 23 January 1841 at The Rectory, Presteigne, at age 86.^5,6,7 He was buried on 2 February 1841 at Presteign, Radnorshire.⁸
     
James Beebee was the son of Thomas Beebee. He was named as the husband of Hannah, a niece of Thomas Stephens of Kinnerton in the latter’s will dated 1810. He was Rector of Bredwardine, and Perpetual Curate of Wiseton, Herefordshire from 1810 to 1818, and Rector of Presteigne for 25 years. His Will dated 19 July 1839 was proved on 6 May 1841, by Hannah Beebee, the relict, and sole Executrix.
His death was announced in the Hereford Journal as follows:
“Jan. 23rd, at the Rectory, Presteign, in his 87th year, the Rev. James Beebee, rector.—Mr. Beebee was born at Leominster, on the 1st of January, 1755 ; his father was an eminent surgeon, in that town. After the usual scholastic education, he became a student of Wadham College, Oxford, and very soon after terminated his studies. Here he appeared to have formed his political opinions, from which he never afterwards swerved ; thus Mr. Beebee may be considered among the earliest of the reformers of the present century, and the aid he rendered to the late Duke of Norfolk, in the different elections in the county of Hereford, was a theme on which he dwelt with satisfaction to the latest hour of his existence. In private life no man could be more beloved for all those qualities which endear a friend, a neighbour, and a relative. The Rev. Oliver Ormerod, a Lancashire gentleman, succeeds to the Rectory of Presteign.”.^3,1,8,2

     Richard URWICK married Elizabeth MEREDITH, daughter of Meyrick MEREDITH and Hannah STEPHENS, on 15 December 1796 at Old Radnor Church; [note: the marriage date could be 22 Dec 1796, depending on the interpretation of “Thursday se’nnight” written in the marriage announcement on a Wednesday].² Richard URWICK died on 30 August 1816 at Walton, Radnorshire.³

Richard and Elizabeth had 8 sons of whom Edward was the only one to marry; he was an invalid and as a widower care of his children devolved upon Edward’s brother Richard.^4,1,5

     Catherine MEREDITH was born ca. 1777. She was christened on 7 March 1777 at Kington, Herefordshire.¹

     James BECKE married Margaret MEREDITH, daughter of Meyrick MEREDITH and Hannah STEPHENS, in 1789.¹

     Hannah PROSSER married John STEPHENS on 23 November 1733 at Kington, Herefordshire.¹

     John STEPHENS was born ca. 1734. He was christened on 15 September 1734 at Kington, Herefordshire.¹

     Elizabeth STEPHENS was born ca. 1736. She was christened on 20 August 1736 at Kington, Herefordshire.¹

     Meyrick BEEBEE was born on 15 June 1804.¹ He married Mary Matilda JAMES on 19 May 1840 at Presteign, Radnorshire.² Meyrick BEEBEE died on 20 May 1873 at Womaston at age 68.³ He was buried on 27 May 1873 at Old Radnor.³
     
Meyrick Beebee was Rector of Simonburn for 32 years. His Will dated 2 July 1870 was proved on 3 July 1873 by Mary Matilda Beebee of
Womaston, in the parish of Old Radnor, co. Radnor, the relict and sole Executrix.³

     Mary Anne Stephens BEEBEE was born ca. 1800. She was christened on 29 October 1800 at Bredwardine, Herefordshire.¹ She died on 22 April 1821 at Leghorn, Italy.²

     Elizabeth BEEBEE was born ca. 1802. She was christened on 28 August 1802 at Bredwardine, Herefordshire.¹ She died on 10 July 1822 at Channel Islands.²

     Margaret Meyrick BEEBEE was born ca. 1805. She was christened on 13 October 1805 at Bredwardine, Herefordshire.¹

     James BEEBEE was born ca. 1799. He was christened on 29 April 1799 at Bredwardine, Herefordshire.¹ He died on 29 July 1820 at Clifton.²

     Hannah BEEBEE was born ca. 1801. She was christened on 22 October 1801 at Bredwardine, Herefordshire.¹

     Robert Morris BEEBEE was born ca. 1810. He married Ann Stephens WALKER, daughter of Edward WALKER and Mary Ann ROGERS, in 1830 at Kington, Herefordshire.¹ Robert Morris BEEBEE married Anne Elizabeth Barbara COX on 30 October 1838 at Poona, Bombay.² Robert Morris BEEBEE died on 7 October 1841 at Canahore, East Indies.³

Caroline Morris was the youngest daughter of John Morris, a banker of Leominster.³

     Mary Matilda JAMES was born ca. 1810 at Presteign, Radnorshire. She was christened on 30 March 1810 at Presteign, Radnorshire. She married Meyrick BEEBEE, son of James BEEBEE and Hannah MEREDITH, on 19 May 1840 at Presteign, Radnorshire.¹ Mary Matilda JAMES died on 30 April 1884 at Womaston.² She was buried on 7 May 1884 at Old Radnor.²
     
Mary Matilda James was the only daughter of David Jenkin James of Womaston. Her Will dated 28 January 1875, with codicils of 19 December 1876 and 22 October 1877, was proved on 10 June 1884, by James Allgood Beebee of Womaston, her son, one of the Executors.²

     William Rogers URWICK was born ca. 1803. He was christened on 16 January 1803 at Kington, Herefordshire.¹ He died in 1803.²

     Thomas URWICK was born on 11 November 1798. He died on 19 October 1834 at The Rectory, Betsone, Shropshire, at age 35.²

     Richard URWICK was born on 14 December 1800. He died on 26 September 1882 at age 81.
